Tommy and I bought this camera from a very nice lady on the photography board I frequent and it is the greatest purchase we have made in a long time! It is a Canon Rebel 300D and came with the kit lens, but also came with a 35-80mm 4-5.6. I cannot wait to learn all I can!
These are a couple of my first pictures:
SOOC for all of them,
His nose is what is in focus, but if you will notice that these are at ISO 1600 and the noise is like the P&S at 400! Oh yes!
Yeah I am super happy at the amount of noise. I do need a Lightscoop or Speedlight, more than likely a Lighscoop on my budget. My apartment is a cave!
Can't wait to share more with you all!

Brown Everywhere
Well, since Brown has been the theme everywhere I decided to share my Brown shot without any of the challenges. I'd be very late to them anyways! :-p
Hope everyone has a nice day!

You Capture - Serene
For me this is serene. Out in service and it was a windy, rainy day which always means wonderful conversation with my friends.

Trendy Treehouse - Brown
So I was just looking through my old pictures and saw this one. I took it almost 10 years ago in high School and it has stayed one of my favorite photos. I need to see if I can get this shot again next time I am in San Diego at Balboa Park. That's where I was with my best-friend. Right after this shot a squirrel attacked me. Well not really, but he was within a foot of my foot (in sandals to boot!) telling me to leave. Yikes!

Tilt Shift and a Share
I was playing with the T1i at Target and used my card to see the pictures later. See the quality test. Not bad at ISO 1600! I can see some noise, but it's like how much noise is on ISO 400 from my P&S. Oh how I long for a DLSR!
I also played around in Photoshop and did some Tilt Shift to the next two photos.
This one I took using my Canon Rebel 35mm in San Diego. It was perfect for tilt shift I think!
These fuchsias are so beautiful and I see them blooming everywhere! I had to get a shot of their vibrant colors. I did tweak this so the colors popped more, but they were pretty spectacular SOOC.
Oh, and did you notice the new watermark. Simple, but I really like it! Thanks Kevin and Amanda for the fonts!

You Capture - Animals
I have 2 dogs. They stink at sitting still, or posing, or anything that is easily photographed. At least this week! But I have this picture taken 2 Saturdays ago. So technically not this week, but I am hoping to be forgiven as she was too cute not to share!

Well course I will join this one! I don't even have to do much beyond picking one..........
Um yeah. So maybe I'll pick a few!
From our 5 month photo shoot.
First avocado.
One wild night! Actually it was like 10am and he was 3 weeks old. Nap time!
Way back when before I held him.
I miss him being so little...

You Capture - Faces
This week's You capture is Faces. Here are two faces that I love so much and they are perfect to share!
We went out on the Willamette with a couple of friends in their boat and had a blast! It was M's first time in a boat, first time in a life vest and you can see what he thought of that! It was a blast. though and now I can't wait to go crabbing next weekend with the same couple. They are actually leaving to go to Idaho to work in unassigned territory I believe, so these times are special to me!

Shoot -N- Tell Thursdays - Circular
It was the weekend of the Banks Truck and Tractor Pulls and I was running... Okay more of a fast walk beside these two.
Grandpa took M in the parade on his tractor and they had a blast. As I past people I kept hearing "Is that a baby?" "What a cute baby!" "That must be his grandson." See my hubby grew up in a small town and it is still that way. Everybody knows everybody, at least visually. Grandpa was so excited to share this with M and loved every second of it!
Oh and if you'll notice the very large circular tires! Haha!

You Capture - Togetherness
Wednesday, September 29, 2010
I just want to share!
This photo was so dark and you could hardly see that sweet smile I got. I was so bummed. Then I was playing with it and voila! It is this specialness that makes my heart beat faster. Now I have to recreate it in like 2 other pics that are the same way... Hope I can do it so I have a set for my walls!
Hope you like it, but if not I call Mother's Prerogative! Lol!
