I Heart Faces: Photojournalism

This is the first time since high school that I have tried a storyboard/collage! It was fun and I can't wait to print this out for my father-in-law!

Scavenger Hunt Sunday

So I am way late in getting this done, but I had a ton to do this week! We moved, been through a growth spurt, and tons of milestones! I am exhausted... So one picture is from my archives. It fits better than any photo I had ideas for. I have to get the Pro Flicker account cause Photobucket doesn't work with resizing and posting. Ugg. So onto the hunt!

1. Bokeh


I gave both black and white and the color in this since I love them both! I was feeling the black and white this week, so all the hunt items are black and white, with a few color posts in addition!

2. Business

These kids were getting down to the business of candy!

3. Eco Friendly

This is the cove in La Jolla, CA that is dedicated to the seals so that they have a place when so many of their stomping grounds have been taken over by us humans. I took this photo about 3.5 years ago with my SLR.

4. Repetition

There were so many trucks pulling at the Banks Truck and Tractor Pull! These are just the Super-Modified who pull repetitively at this event and others every year!

5. Music

This is a doll my In-Laws got in Hawaii and the ukulele my Bro-In-Law got there as well! She is too cute and I love the flowers!

Scavenger Hunt Sunday

This is my first Scavenger Hunt Sunday to fully participate in! I have found my biggest challenge is to edit them, even if it is only sharpening and putting a watermark on them. Usually that is not enough for me. I like to play a little with them!

You Capture: In The Kitchen

So, I was in the kitchen feeding my son his new solid food and realized it would be perfect for this week. Especially the toys in the background. Toys have invaded every part of my house, and my son is not even mobile yet!

Shutter Love Tuesdays at Trendy Treehouse

So this is my first entry into Shutter Love Tuesday at The Trendy Treehouse! I am super excited. So this is not necessarily My Favorite Things (the theme for this week). It's my son's favorite thing, and my son is my favorite thing.

My husband and I bought this fish at Carter's Outlet in Seaside on our anniversary weekend because it is so bright and it vibrates after you pull it down! Michael always grabs for it first.

A Few Shots From A NEW Camera

So my hubby got me a surprise gift!! Just a little point and shoot, a Canon PowerShot A495. But I am so happy! It takes good pictures though the white balance is off when you look at the screen compared to the computer and it is difficult to get it to focus where I want it to. So here are some sample pics, all are SOOC and the camera chooses most of the settings.
