I Heart Faces: Best Face Photo in January

I haven't done any challenges recently, but I am trying to get some inspiration. I love this photo. It just strikes a chord in me, plus it's not bad SOOC. I like that too!

My first pictures with my new camera!

Tommy and I bought this camera from a very nice lady on the photography board I frequent and it is the greatest purchase we have made in a long time! It is a Canon Rebel 300D and came with the kit lens, but also came with a 35-80mm 4-5.6. I cannot wait to learn all I can!

These are a couple of my first pictures:

SOOC for all of them,

His nose is what is in focus, but if you will notice that these are at ISO 1600 and the noise is like the P&S at 400! Oh yes!

Yeah I am super happy at the amount of noise. I do need a Lightscoop or Speedlight, more than likely a Lighscoop on my budget. My apartment is a cave!

Can't wait to share more with you all!

Brown Everywhere

Well, since Brown has been the theme everywhere I decided to share my Brown shot without any of the challenges. I'd be very late to them anyways! :-p

Hope everyone has a nice day!

I Heart Faces - Silhouette

This picture is one of my favorites of Tommy and M. And I immediately thought of it when I saw the theme at I Heart Faces.

I found this one while looking for the other. M loves to stand and look out the door or tease the dogs when they are out there!

You Capture - Serene

For me this is serene. Out in service and it was a windy, rainy day which always means wonderful conversation with my friends.

Trendy Treehouse - Brown

So I was just looking through my old pictures and saw this one. I took it almost 10 years ago in high School and it has stayed one of my favorite photos. I need to see if I can get this shot again next time I am in San Diego at Balboa Park. That's where I was with my best-friend. Right after this shot a squirrel attacked me. Well not really, but he was within a foot of my foot (in sandals to boot!) telling me to leave. Yikes!

Tilt Shift and a Share

I was playing with the T1i at Target and used my card to see the pictures later. See the quality test. Not bad at ISO 1600! I can see some noise, but it's like how much noise is on ISO 400 from my P&S. Oh how I long for a DLSR!

I also played around in Photoshop and did some Tilt Shift to the next two photos.

Photobucket

This one I took using my Canon Rebel 35mm in San Diego. It was perfect for tilt shift I think!

These fuchsias are so beautiful and I see them blooming everywhere! I had to get a shot of their vibrant colors. I did tweak this so the colors popped more, but they were pretty spectacular SOOC.

Oh, and did you notice the new watermark. Simple, but I really like it! Thanks Kevin and Amanda for the fonts!
